CurvedConveyors

A single radius belt that turns your product line through a corner without a transfer, a gap, or a jam.

Overview

The Curved Conveyors

  • Smooth 30 to 180 degree turns
  • No transfer gaps or product tipping
  • Space-saving directional changes

Curved conveyors solve the problem every real facility runs into: the line has to change direction, but a butt-joined transfer between two straight conveyors is where product tips, spins, and jams. Probe’s curved units carry the load through the turn on one continuous radius belt, so a carton enters and leaves the corner in the same orientation it started.

The belt is cut and driven so its outer edge travels faster than its inner edge, holding product square through anything from a gentle 30° dogleg to a full 180° return. That keeps flow smooth at speed and protects fragile or unstable packs from the knocks a dead-plate transfer would give them.

Because a single curve replaces two conveyors and a transfer, it also buys back floor space — letting Probe route a line around a wall, a machine, or a workstation in a footprint a straight layout could never fit.

Why This System

The engineering choices that make the curved conveyors the right call for the job it’s built for.

01

Gap-Free Cornering

One radius belt carries product through the turn with no dead plate and no transfer gap, eliminating the tip-and-jam point that plagues butt-joined layouts.

02

Orientation Held

The belt is driven so the outer edge outruns the inner, keeping cartons and trays square through the bend — critical ahead of labellers, cameras, and sorters.

03

Any Angle, Any Hand

Built to your layout in 30°, 45°, 90°, 180° and custom angles, left- or right-hand, so the line follows the building rather than the other way round.

04

Footprint Recovery

Replacing two straights and a transfer with a single curve reclaims aisle and floor space in tight rooms and lets lines wrap around fixed obstacles.

Where It Works

Typical roles the curved conveyors takes on across UAE production and distribution lines.

  • 01Packaging line direction changes
  • 02E-commerce and parcel sortation
  • 03Tight or L-shaped facility layouts
  • 04Feeding labellers, cameras, and checkweighers
  • 05Routing lines around fixed plant
  • 06Food and beverage transport (food-grade belt)

Common Questions

What operations most often ask before specifying a curved conveyors for their line.

Standard builds cover 30°, 45°, 60°, 90° and 180°, and Probe cuts custom angles where the layout needs one. Curves are made in both left- and right-hand configurations to match the direction of flow.

Tell Probe your product, throughput, and layout, and we’ll size and build the system around it.
