Zero Running Cost
No motor and no power draw — loads move on gravity or a single push, so a lane costs nothing to run and has almost nothing to break.
Unpowered roller and skatewheel lanes that move cartons downstream on nothing but a gentle slope — silent, and free to run.
Overview
Gravity conveyor is the simplest transport Probe builds, and often the smartest. Set a lane on a slight decline and cartons or totes roll themselves downstream — no motor, no drive, no energy bill, and nothing to fail. On the level, an operator moves loads with a single push and the free rollers do the rest.
Probe supplies it in two forms: steel or PVC gravity rollers for firm, flat-bottomed cartons and totes, and skatewheel track for lighter items that need a more forgiving surface. Because there’s no drive, lanes are light, and a run can be lifted, re-pitched, or relocated as a pick line or dock changes.
It’s most powerful as connective tissue — feeding pick faces, buffering a packing bench, or bridging a powered line to a loading bay — giving you buffer and flow at a fraction of the cost and complexity of a powered section.
The engineering choices that make the gravity conveyors the right call for the job it’s built for.
No motor and no power draw — loads move on gravity or a single push, so a lane costs nothing to run and has almost nothing to break.
Steel/PVC gravity rollers handle firm cartons and totes; skatewheel track suits lighter, smaller items — the surface is matched to the load.
Light, drive-free frames can be re-pitched, extended, or relocated as a pick line, dock, or pack bench changes — no electrician required.
Ideal as accumulation between stations, feeding pick faces, or bridging a powered line to a loading bay at a fraction of powered-conveyor cost.
Specification
Indicative build parameters. Every system is engineered to your product, throughput, and facility — final specification is confirmed at the audit.
Typical roles the gravity conveyors takes on across UAE production and distribution lines.
What operations most often ask before specifying a gravity conveyors for their line.
It depends on load weight — heavier cartons roll on a gentler grade, lighter ones need a little more. Probe sets the pitch during design so product moves in a controlled way without running away, and level sections are used where an operator pushes loads by hand.
Tell Probe your product, throughput, and layout, and we’ll size and build the system around it.
